Macrobia Expeditions的点评
点评：I’ve been wanting to visit Somaliland for a long time, and I was very fortunate to find Macrobia Expeditions. Whereas other specialist companies limited themselves to offer rigid schedules, Macrobia took the time to understand my trip goals. They were fantastic at answering my queries and providing detailed information. They even supplied a great travel guide document featuring information about the countries and general trip logistics. I ended up doing the Djibouti and Somaliland combined overland tour. Everything was organised and executed perfectly: transportation, hotels, access to sites, immigration support, etc. The destination is of course stunning: Lake Abbé and its otherworldly limestone chimneys, the desert scenery, camel markets, amazing granite rock formations and of course, Laas Geel, one of the largest and best preserved rock art sites in the world. However, what I enjoyed the most was sharing time with the guides, who were incredibly knowledgeable about the history, politics, culture, religion and nature of their respective countries. I will treasure the evenings we spent chatting, eating delicious food and drinking tea. Incidentally, food was surprising good, particularly if you avoid hotel restaurants and eat at local restaurants (the ones the guides go!) All in all, a superb company. Highly recommend.
