龙门石窟的点评
点评：I didn't honestly have high expectations when visiting in June 2025 solo. But I was blown away by the size and magnifiicence of the large Buddha carvings and accompanying grottoes. Unfortunately, many of the smaller Buddhas in smaller grottoes have been disfigured. Nevertheless, the main figures still appear to be there, largely unscathed and with no major recorded alterations from when they were first carved. The whole walk took around 2 hours, including a crossing across the river to the side facing the major Buddha (and where many nice photos can be taken). There's also a buggy at that other section for those wanting a quicker return to the entrance gate.
Those entering by DiDi or taxis will not be dropped off at the actual entrance gate but some distance behind at an overall "park entrance". Between these two entrances is a large, man-made shopping arcade, and took 15-20 minutes to get through.
