点评：Magajahalli Falls, also called Abbi Falls, lies on the way to Hanbal and Bettada Byraveshwara Temple, taking a small off-road from the Sakleshpur main road. It is a small, moderate waterfall located just beside the state highway that connects Agani and Hanbal villages to Sakleshpur town.
Even though the Homestay and Resort Association has placed some boards and dustbins, the entire falls area is littered by visitors and locals. The Gram Panchayat has also installed a cleanliness signboard, but it has been neglected and the place has not been cleaned for many years.
Recently, some chemical or used water appears to have been released into the falls, resulting in foam formation. This issue was even covered in the news, yet no concrete action has been taken either to preserve the falls or to improve its surroundings.
At least if the site were entrusted to a responsible private resort or homestay for maintenance, cleanliness could be ensured. The Gram Panchayat could consider introducing an entry fee-sharing model so that maintenance and beautification can be properly managed. Otherwise, this beautiful natural spot may be ruined in the coming years.
