点评：I cannot recommend Eddy highly enough to anyone staying in the south of Sri Lanka who wishes to experience the country’s amazing wildlife. We first met Eddy in 2019 when he was working as the resident naturalist at the Anantara in Tangalle. We were so impressed by his knowledge and passion for wildlife and his kindness that we stayed in touch and have since used Eddy for all of our wildlife trips on our subsequent trips to Sri Lanka, including turtle hatchings and nestings in Rekawa and Dikwella, safari in Yala (twice), whale watching on a private speedboat and an amazing early morning trip watching massive saltwater crocodiles on the Nilwala river in Matara. Eddy’s encyclopaedic knowledge is not confined to wildlife; he is also a mine of fascinating information on the history, culture, religions and archaeology of Sri Lanka. He is a true conservationist who was instrumental in making Rekawa a protected turtle sanctuary and has amazing stories to tell of managing leopard/human conflicts, rescuing enormous crocodiles and monitoring turtle numbers all along the south and east coasts. Eddy is so kind towards our young daughters who adore him and we are proud to call him and his family our friends.
