Didn’t Seem to Care
Mena Tours的点评
点评：My husband and I hired Mena Tours as our private guide while in the Aswan-Luxor area. Our experience with them was not good. These are pros & cons we encountered in the several days we used their services.
Pros: They kept in touch with us by text.
Mena met us upon our arrival. (At this time he wanted & collected 100% of the cost of our tours.
We were always taken to the sites/areas we had requested to see.
The tours were relatively low cost.
Day 3 was ok. What I might expect from a tour that got us safely to sites and walked us through them.
Beshoy, our 2nd guide with this agency, did seem to care about us and did his best to make our days with him enjoyable.
Cons: The 1st day we traveled from Luxor to Abu Simpel, leaving at 3:30 am which was OK. However, the journey was by small car, we were given no water, there was one bathroom stop each way, we were given no food or suggestions of where to eat. Upon arriving back in Aswan we were left at a ferry landing and told to find our way back to our hotel.
The 2nd day, traveling in the same cramped car, we discovered Mena was going to have us change guides in Luxor which was not my original understanding. (This turned out to be a pro in disguise as Beshoy was a very caring person.). Again, no water or food.
Day 4: As my husband was having great discomfort traveling in the small car, we requested a larger vehicle like the one we had on Day 3. That did not happen & we endured a cramped car to & from Abydos.
Mena didn’t seem to care about our comfort. (Once again, Beshoy did seem to care about us and did his best to make our days with him enjoyable.)
In retrospect, I attempted to hire an agency that was lower cost, and it didn’t seem to have the most knowledgeable and caring guide. I would not use Mena Tours again.
