Great Are, Nice Shows
松鸡山的点评
点评：This was the second stop on our tour. We were given 90 minutes to enjoy the mountain.
We were let off at the Grouse Mountain Base and given a Brochure along with clear instructions as to what to do when we got to the Summit. So, we took the Blue Gondola – a few people at a time, made it to the top and made a beeline for the Lumberjack Show that was about to start. The show was very entertaining and kept us laughing throughout. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. Fog started settling in and made visibility a real problem.
The next show was “The Birds of Prey”. This also had to be shortened to one bird flying around.
We then walked to the Grizzly Bear Habitat. The rescued bears – Koola and Grinder – were HUGE from close-up. We took whatever photos and videos that we could, because the visibility seemed to be getting worse.
We did not go higher up on the mountain -- where there are four restaurants but instead walked down a little slope to the “Peak Chalet”. Watched a bunch of short videos at “The Theater in the Sky” there and then stopped at the self-serve Lupins Café for a light lunch.
There was a nice Gift Store from where we bought some small souvenirs, posed by the huge stuffed bears for some cool photos, and then made our way back down to join the rest of the group.
We are glad that we were able to come up here and enjoy whatever we were able to do in those foggy weather conditions.
