Nice beach day in Amber Cove, Dominican Republic

点评：Planning to do Amber Cove solo since Carnival advertised a 30 acre recreation site at the port, we opted for a last minute excursion to the beach. We’d been there before and weren’t happy about the floating debris the last time, but it was much better this time.
Our guides were very witty and fun. Lots of great facts shared as we bounced down the dirt road to the beach.
As an inexpensive tour, we had to pay for everything on arrival (chairs-$5, umbrellas-$10 as well as any food drinks).
The beach was nice, water pretty clear. There was a large rock formation in front of our entry to the water, hidden by th water, but walking 50ft in either direction gave us easy entry. There were a lot of small jellyfish at first, but they disappeared in about a half hour.
Overall, good tour. We probably saved $100 by doing the last minute ($20 each) and paying for what we wanted for the 3 hours. Again, our guides Emily and Lisbania were fantastic.
