点评:This is a lovely park, located where the original Tea's (plant) nursery was for over 100 years. It was re-imagined as Evelyn's park by the Rubenstein brothers in honor of their mother, Evelyn. The landscaping is lovely and there is a man-made pond and a cafe. The best part, though, is the "Move One Place On" bronze sculpture of the Alice in Wonderland Tea party created by Bridgette Mongeonin honor of the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll's classic children's novels. The complete tea party is portrayed vividly much larger than life, with all the familiar characters of Alice, the March Hare, the Mad Hatter, the Dormouse and even the Cheshire Cat. It is a compositionally interesting work with great visual movement and a careful eye for detail. Additionally Mongeon has imbedded 150 small "easter eggs" into the pieces of her sculpture (such as Tweedle Dum and Dee's faces on the buttons of the Hatter, tiny "drink me" bottles in the base of the table and even Dinah the kitten playing with her ball of yarn under the foot of Alice's chair. You can also find an image of the author on the back of the Hatter's chair). One can easily spend an hour or more enjoying the details of the sculpture, whether you are a small child or are one of the larger grown-up variety. This is a delightful piece in a lovely setting and is well worth the visit. (Plus you can't beat the price! (Free!) )
