点评:Stepping into MacMillan Provincial Park feels less like a standard roadside stop and more like entering an ancient, living sanctuary.
The Experience: I have never seen trees this huge and thick in my life. Standing beneath 800-year-old Douglas firs, it feels as though the forest is talking to you and sharing the history of everything it has witnessed over the centuries—you feel deeply connected to nature here.
Layout: The park features easy, well-maintained trail loops totaling about 1 km, conveniently spread across both sides of the highway.
Location & Stopover: Perfectly located right on Highway 4 on the way toward Ucluelet and Tofino, making it an ideal place to break up the drive.
Parking Tip: Parking is notoriously tight right at the main lot. Plan to arrive early in the morning or later in the afternoon; otherwise, you will need to park carefully along the roadside shoulders just past the main lot
