A lovely afternoon walk even with the rain.

点评：When I said I was going to Vancouver everyone said I had to go an ice hockey game and see Stanley Park. Tick and tick.
I was a little apprehensive as it was wet and I’d been warned about the wind off the Seawall, but it was worth the walk. The water is crystal clear, the kind you get in mountain streams, but this was part of the harbour. There was wild like a plenty and while the thought of 10ks in the rain wasn’t appealing, there’s something along the way to stop and look at regularly.
It was great to see the council or park team put pressure washing the benches as it’s those small things that show how much people care. Maybe 1klm into the walk you come across the totem poles, each with a unique purpose and story. Continuing along the Seawall walk we saw girl in a diving suit and other landmarks that spoke to the history of the area. I wanted to look at the lakes, so about half way along the walk, detoured inland to Beavers lake. It’s worth the detour with little streams and beautiful woodlands. While stopping to check directions, a bird landed on my phone, clearly used to getting treats from the tourists. I don’t encourage feeding wildlife unless under supervised conditions and didn’t have anything anyway, but they were happy enough saying hello.
We continued walking through to the beaches and despite it being 3 degrees, there was a dog out swimming and chasing balls. Can’t help but smile to see it, along with walkers and runners.
Don’t let the weather stop you, rug up and head out to Stanley Park. Worth the walk.

我们继续往前走，来到了海滩。尽管只有3度，但还是看到一只狗在游泳和追逐球。看到它，以及周围的步行者和跑步者，我不禁露出了笑容。
别让天气阻挡你的脚步，穿上暖和点，去斯坦利公园走走吧。绝对值得一去。
