African Gorilla Expeditions的点评
点评：This was a mother-daughter trip built around gorilla trekking, and Luchi helped us plan a visit fully built around what we were interested in doing and seeing. Over several detailed conversations via email and WhatsApp he worked with us to build a perfect itinerary that included a week in Uganda — gorillas in Bwindi, chimpanzees in Kibale, a wetland walk for birding, a night walk where we saw a bush baby and a potto (I had never even heard of these adorable little bear-looking primates), a shoebill stork tour in Entebbe, and ending with a week in Kenya that he facilitated and planned, connecting us with a guide there for our Maasai Mara experience.
Luchi made all arrangements, and the places we stayed on our “mid-range” budget were all beautiful and unique. In the sometimes long drives as we made our way across Uganda he was full of information and happy to answer our questions about the culture, the country, the animals and the people. He was patient with our desire to slow down for any bird we saw and able to identify them for us, often slowing to point out one we might have missed.
We found Luchi through a recommendation by my daughter’s friend, and although it felt daunting to entrust the full planning of our vacation to someone based on a single record recommendation, I’m so glad we did. We could have never organized and executed a trip like this on our own, and using Luchi gave us an incredibly rich and worry-free experience on our first trip to East Africa.
If you’re thinking of visiting Uganda, I say do it. The country is beautiful. And when I visit again I’ll definitely be using Luchi again as my guide.
