Tarcoles River and Sky Walk
Greenway Nature Day Tours的点评
点评：We first went on a very nice, air conditioned bus to the Tarcoles River where our group of 14 boarded a boat. Our driver was in communication with other boat drivers and we saw many crocodiles, one was 17’ long. Our driver recognized each of the large gators and knew their names with back stories. Mike Tyson was the big male who was named because he had bitten the eye out of another gator. We saw many birds, easily recognized by our tour guide Josu. He had given each of us a beautiful card with pictures identifying the birds and would refer to them by both name and number.
Upon our return to the dock we went to a cool structure where we were given freshly cut watermelon and bananas.
We then loaded back in the bus to go to the Sky Walk which was a privately owned rainforest next to the national park. Here we walked across several “rope” bridges looking down into deep canyons with trees extending above us. We saw butterflies, ants, termite nests and a poisonous frog. We did not see a slough- that’s nature. But the forest was so beautiful and worth the walk.
On the return, we stopped at a large rest stop selling food, trinkets, snacks etc. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. The restrooms were immaculate.
We ended the tour with a tour of Puntarenas with some history and culture. We had a wonderful day and would recommend this tour. Again, our guide Josu was great
