点评:If you're on Highway 3A, the speed limit doesn't allow you to go faster than 60 km/hr anyway, so you are practically crawling. May as well stop and see this amazing place built entirely of embalming fluid bottles. David H. Brown owned a mortuary and had other connections in the business. Rather than discard the bottles, he found a way to use them in construction, and saved his own and then collected bottles from his peers. Our tour guide was a granddaughter and she said that 600,000 bottles were used to build her grandparents' home. The home decor has been preserved from when it was lived in, and the details are charming, from the orange shag rug to the triangle pots in the tiny kitchen. Once you are guided through the inside of the home, you are free to wander the property, and explore the whimsical place filled with garden gnomes, glass towers (one you can climb!), a glass arch, wishing well, a glass vista point over the lake, and beautiful gardens. There is even a tiny museum with Mr. Brown's mortuary certificate, as well as tools he used to build the place, and photos of construction. It's unlikely you'll ever see anything like this again, so well worth the time and the price.
