McGill's Corrupt Academic System
麦吉尔大学的点评
点评：McGill is such a beautiful school and in an amazing city. There is amazing student life and resilience but unfortunately the academic system is absolutely terrible, and students are never supported. Academic advisors don't know anything, teachers are unhelpful and rude, and the administration as a whole is honestly corrupt and doesn't care about students at all. God forbid you may take any sort of leave in a semester, like go on exchange, get an internship, or even get sick, and they will be so unaccomdating and cold. Exams are so incredibly difficult that me and all my friends study genuinely from 7am-10pm everyday for weeks during exam season just to get mid/ok grades, exams are- forget only hard- but in general just don't make sense. Profs will add in questions/topics you've never seen before, and complaints are taken as a joke. I love this community and place so much but unfortunately the academic system is in the gutter. I have friends who go to different schools in Canada, in the US, UK, even Ivey leagues and still have never heard of such a difficult and terrible treatment of students. It's such a shame.
翻译：麦吉尔是一所非常漂亮的学校，所处的城市也棒极了。这里的学生生活丰富多彩，大家也很有韧性。但遗憾的是，学术体系糟糕透顶，学生根本得不到任何支持。学术顾问一无所知，老师们既不帮忙又粗鲁无礼。整个管理机构简直就是腐败不堪，完全漠视学生的利益。要是你在某个学期申请任何形式的休假——比如去海外交流、实习，甚至只是生病请假——那可就麻烦了。他们会极其不近人情且冷漠。考试难度高得离谱——在考试季里，我和所有朋友每天从早上7点学到晚上10点，连续好几个星期，只为了拿到中等或尚可的成绩。考试不仅难，而且总体上毫无逻辑可言。教授们会加入一些学生从未接触过的问题或主题，而学生的投诉则被当作笑话对待。我非常热爱这个社群和这个地方，但遗憾的是，这里的学术体系糟糕透顶。我有一些朋友，他们分别就读于加拿大、美国、英国的各类学校，甚至还有一些常春藤联盟院校，但他们都从未听说过对学生有如此严苛且恶劣的对待方式。真是可惜啊。
