The best museum I’ve ever been to
The Scottish Crannog Centre的点评
点评：I am really impressed by our trip today. I visited today with my Husband. We were greeted by a very friendly woman and polite staff up upon arrival.
We immediately started the tour with the Very knowledgeable Katrina. She did a photo talk through all the artefacts and materials in the museum and their origins as much as we know but the education on the actual materials instead of just looking at things behind a glass wall really enhances the experience.
Every member of staff at each crannog was highly knowledgeable and very warm throughout. This includes Fraser and Izzy.
We were given a real tree and great experience with Izzy’s Scottish folk songs.
All of the staff were highly eligible about the building of the site and all materials, including how all the materials were made. I don’t think I’ve ever had such an interactive and hands-on practical museum experience like this and of course it it is in an iddylic setting.
All staff were very attentive, polite and very friendly throughout asking if we were having a good time and enjoying the visit. The café staff were also very polite and the food and drinks was great. One admission entry gets free entry for a year. Staff were also very knowledgeable of the local area and making recommendations for the rest of our visit in Scotland.
We didn’t want to leave and we’ll most certainly will be returning. The new crannog over the water is in construction and is due to be completed in 2026. The drive was worth it.
