点评:I went after seeing 'Dream' on the Ricky Tomlinson/Ralf Little road trip across Northern England. I had once seen it from the M57 but was now inspired to see it close up. You can't in fact drive up to it as Ricky Tomlinson did - it's on quite a steep incline in a woodland walk created on top of what was the old Sutton Moor Colliery. We parked in a nearby street and walked up. 'Dream' itself is very dramatic - you don't see it until you round the corner, as it is hidden by the trees. In some respects it's like Antony Gormley's Angel of the North which can be seen as you drive into Gateshead. There are good view across the surrounding post-industrial landscape. It's popular with dog walkers and there are panels to explain the history of the area and the story behind 'Dream' and how it came to be made by a Spanish sculptor. As noted by others, curiously there are no bins or picnic tables, but it's still worth a visit if you're in the area.
