Amazing unique experience learning about tea and Vietnam

点评：I am blown away at how outstanding my tour was with Tea Tour Travel. I was arranged a bus ride up to Thai Nyguen where I met Huyen who brought her husband along for the day too. With her career in english teaching and as someone who grew up in the area she has an incredible understanding of the province, Vietnam, that can lead our tour and answer my questions. Through her local knowledge, such as a being raised on a tea farm, this really was a wonderful experience.
We drove up to La Bang, where I learned about traditional tea culture in Vietnam, tried different teas, walked around the plantation with an owner and saw the drying process in a very human to human way. Through translation and her own knowledge many of my questions were answered and I learned how much more complex of a process there is in the steps leading up to a cup of tea. Next we visited a local restaurant for a traditional lunch with many amazing foods to try and share. One of my favorites being a salad of banana flowers. Lastly we visited a portion of Tam Dao National Park where we hiked along a trail and stream.
Everything was expertly arranged from my bus ride, to our lunch, to our visit on the plantation. Both her and her husband were also very generous, after explaining my interest in unique fruits and foods the two were excited to show me some other local fruits, unique street foods, and dishes while we drove back and forth from La Bang. Filled with so much knowledge, passion and kindness they even insisted on stopping at their home to grab another hyper local food to try.
Overall I highly suggest reaching out if you are looking for a unique experience by near Hanoi. You will not be disappointed with your experience and Huyen’s knowledge or kindness. Thanks for a great time!
