点评：An absolute must do if in the Mohawk Valley. Can’t believe we’ve waited this long to take the trip. We did the High Peaks to Tupper Lake from Utica. It’s a long day but they allow you to bring small coolers and bags onboard. We also did the first class upgrade where three simple but adequate meals kept us full for the day and there is a dining car serving dogs and simple snacks. The three crew members who work from the dining car and serviced our section went out of their way to provide outstanding service and they should be commended. Even couch class has comfy seats and you are allowed to move about the length including the open side observation car. Definitely worth the cost even if we missed the heart of the autumn leaves turning. Nothing to do in Tupper Lake but there is enough time to stretch your legs and catch a quick meal or drink at a local bar/restaurant.
