CONTEMPLATING THE SINFULLY CHERRY TEA

点评：Shopping in Downtown Portsmouth, one store I like to visit periodically is The Spice & Tea Exchange of Portsmouth.
I like the atmosphere in this shop. The air is filled with the light aroma of spices and teas.
On this visit, I looked at rubs for meats first. The Cinnabar Smoke Spice Blend caught my eye. It was versatile and could be used on chicken, steak, and pork.
Next, I looked at cooking utensils and risotto.
As I was looking at the Sinfully Cherry Tea at $15.99 for a 2 oz. bag, the fellow on the register came by to talk to me for the third time in about 5 minutes. He was very nice, but too attentive this day. I think he was bored. It was distracting. I wasn’t enjoying browsing. I left my decision on the Sinfully Cherry Tea for another time.
Later at home, I researched how many cups of tea the 2 oz. of loose tea might make. The answer was that would make 28 – 56 cups, depending on desired strength. Since I’d mix it with unflavored decaffeinated black tea and make an average strength cup, the estimated yield for my use would be at the high end of 56 cups - and maybe more. The cost would be about 29 cents per cup for that, plus the cost of the decaf tea. Although a little more expensive than conventional supermarket teas, cherry-flavored tea isn’t a common or readily-available item. On my next visit, I plan to buy a bag.
I rate this visit at 4.0.

后来在家里，我查了一下2盎司散装茶叶能泡出多少杯茶。结果显示，根据个人对茶浓度的喜好不同，大约能泡28到56杯茶。由于我会把它和无味的脱咖啡因红茶混合，冲泡成浓度适中的茶饮，因此对我而言，预计能冲泡出56杯左右——甚至更多。这样算下来，每杯茶的成本约为29美分，此外还需加上脱咖啡因红茶的费用。虽然这种樱桃味茶比普通超市里卖的茶叶稍贵一些，但它并非随处可见的常见商品。下次去时，我打算买一袋试试。
