点评：What an amazing day trip! Teotihuacán totally lived up to the hype. The scale of the place is hard to believe until you're standing in it — massive pyramids, the long Avenue of the Dead, and so much history everywhere you look.
Best tip: hire a guide right at the gate. We grabbed one when we arrived and it was 100% worth it. Having someone explain what we were seeing made everything so much more interesting — the murals, the symbolism, the astronomy. Way better than wandering around guessing.
We walked about 6 km from the Serpent Pyramid all the way along the Avenue of the Dead (up and down the little drainage dividers along the way) to the Pyramid of the Moon and then over to the Pyramid of the Sun. You can climb the first level of the Sun pyramid for amazing photos and views. Bring good shoes — there's a lot of walking and uneven steps.
Pro tip: pair the trip with lunch at La Gruta restaurant near Gate 5. It's set inside a natural cave and totally fun for the experience.
Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat — there's basically no shade. Plan a full day for it. So worth it!
