点评:This is one of the most important museums in North America, showcasing thousands of artifacts from one of the earliest cradles of civilizations. Meticulously curated, it features the cultural and technological advances contributed by Mexico’s indigenous cultures composed of the Olmecs, Mayans and Aztecs in the fields of agriculture, astronomy and architecture, to name a few. Highlights for us were seeing the Aztec stone calendar and the scale model of Tenochtitlan in the 14th century which is Mexico City today. Go first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds. Although we can speak and read Spanish, we hired a private guide to get a better understanding of what we were seeing. The scope of the exhibits was a bit overwhelming and the guide helped us organize all the information in a meaningful way.
