点评：We drove to Chichenitza by car from Playa del Carmen. As with our recent trip to Tulum we were flagged to the side of the road by people claiming to be associated with the ruins.Not sure what they wanted but our spidey senses told us they were scammers.They were trying to dissuade us from going to the main parking lot claiming it was a long walk and had been been altered. When advised that we experienced a similar scam in Tulum recently they backed off. However 2 more groups of people tried to flag us to the side of the road so we just waved and kept going. It was quite stressful at first and I wish the Mexican government would take action against these scammers.
The ruins are amazing but overrun with vendors.
It was 92 degrees when we visited so only stayed a few hours. We drained our water bottle during the visit. They sell pop on site with junk food but we stuck with water.
The drive is long and boring. We wanted to stop at a cenote nearby but decided to head back to Playa del Carmen due to the heat and long drive ahead of us. We used the toll road for most of the trip back. Otherwise the trip is longer on the free roads due to reduced speeds going through little towns with numerous large topes.
Overall I would recommend taking a tour that involves a lunch and cenote. Leave the driving to the tour bus operators.

总的来说，我建议参加包含午餐和天然井游览的旅行团。把开车的事交给旅游巴士公司就好。
