Awesome experience on the Kenai river!

点评：After spending the day fishing with John we realized that 5 stars for a rating are not enough. We (me, my wife, our two sons aged 12 and 9) spent two weeks in Alaska and did a lot of different activities (ATV, jet ski on Prince William Sound, hiked a glacier, etc.) but our trip with John on the Kenai was the best of it all. John welcomed my boys from the minute we arrived and spent extra time with them to ensure they had the best possible fishing experience. John lives in Alaska year round and has tremendous knowledge of the Kenai and all other things Alaska. The fishing was spectacular. We targeted rainbow trout and caught them consistently the entire time. We did catch and release which made it ever more rewarding. John's drift boat and equipment are top-notch. He makes all his lures and uses rabbit skins from his winter hunting for the teaser strips (one of many amazing stories he shared with us). He even made a stop along the way for us to get out of the boat and do some fly fishing which we had never done previously. Also, even though this was considered drifting John worked tirelessly rowing the boat to correctly position it along the route to put us on the fish. When we return to Alaska the first excursion we'll book will be with John for another outing on the Kenai river. THANK YOU JOHN!!!!!
