Château Gaillard的点评
点评：Wanted to stop at Chateau Gaillard on our way from Paris to Normandy. There are signs in town directing you, but once you get into the countryside they disappear and you're on your own. We managed to find our way thanks to Maps. Once you get close to the castle you pass a parking lot on the right. It's quite a distance from the castle, but provides a great vantage point to take some pictures. Apparently you can park here and walk. We chose to keep going. At this point the road turns into a one lane, one way path down a steep hill. You pass what appears to be another small parking lot a little closer to the castle. On Maps it looked like there was a way to park at the castle, so we tried again. Unfortunately, since it was a one way road we had to circle back through town and back up the way we came. There was no other place to park. No other roads. We had seen it all. There were no signs, no nothing. It was cold and very windy, so we decided to keep pressing on to Normandy. Very disappointing. This place could be a major tourist attraction, but it's like it's just sitting there, forgotten.
