Great views in reasonable weather - but seeing Mount Fuji requires perfect weather

点评：This terrace does have a great view on days which have even halfway decent weather. The terrace building has large balconies for the view in all directions, and it also has some garden areas and a few picnic tables.
This is possibly not a destination on its own, but it can be combined with the ropeway (just across the parking lot) and the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, for an enjoyable half-day excursion.
I visited this as part of a cruise ship excursion, so transportation was provided. It looks like it is also accessible by public transit if you plan well, however; buses leave about once per hour from the Higashi-Shizuoka train station, and also return once per hour.
This would be possible as a day trip from Tokyo, but it would be a very long day - better to stay in Shizuoka, spend half a day up here, and another half-day exploring other parts of Shizuoka.
