点评：If you're heading to Mazatlán, chances are you'll spend some time in Golden Zone. It's basically the main tourist hub of the city. It's nice since it caters to visitors, but this isn't the place you'll want to hang out if you're searching for a super local experience.
This is where most visitors stay, thanks to the huge concentration of hotels and resorts lining the coast. A lot of tours will drop you off here too, whether it's for shopping or just to hang out on the beach. The beaches themselves are definitely a highlight, and you've probably seen the colorful Mazatlán Sign that everyone stops at for their vacation photos.
Running through the area is Avenida Camarón Sábalo, which is packed with restaurants, bars, and shops. You'll find plenty of seafood spots and Mexican food, plus lively nightlife with open air clubs that tend to draw a younger, student-heavy crowd. There are also craft vendors selling jewelry and pottery, and even a quirky stop like the Museo de Conchas if you're into seashell displays and tacky souvenirs.
That said, it's VERY touristy. Locals generally don't eat or shop here, and it shows. You'll be paying inflated "gringo" prices for standard (and often disappointing) food and drinks. It's convenient and easy, but not exactly where you go for an authentic Mazatlán experience.
