点评：We visited today’s 1940s event at the Gunpowder Mills in Waltham Abbey and had a wonderful day from start to finish. The Gunpowder Mills is a fantastic place to explore at any time, however the 1940s theme added an extra great touch.
A special mention must go to Sam, who was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge and enthusiasm when telling us about the trains was outstanding, and he made the experience both informative and entertaining.
The café was excellent too, with delicious food and plenty of choice. Everything was well organised, friendly, and reasonably priced. We went for the 1940 themed Lunch which was delicious.
What really impressed us was the value for money. The £15 admission ticket not only gave us access to a fantastic day out, but also includes a full years membership. Will definitely be making the most of having it and be back soon
