Beautiful beach, great for swimming but gets very crowded

点评：Positives: Beautiful beach and the best for swimming in Puerto Escondido.
Negatives: Gets SUPER CROWDED by 11am so if you are looking for a peaceful tropical beach, this will not fit that vibe. If you want a more chill experience, go a short distance by cab (or +/- 20 minute walk) to Coral Beach instead, which is also usually safe for swimming depending on sea conditions.
Advice:
- DO NOT eat from the restaurant on the left side as soon as you arrive down the stairs to the beach. The food takes forever to get and is absolutely disgusting. Maybe some of the other places along the beach have better food but my spidey senses tell me that they would all be sub-par at best for food.
- You can rent beach loungers/umbrellas for about 500 pesos for the whole day but still have to pay extra for drinks/food (i.e. your food and beverage purchases are not credited towards your rental fee.)
- High tide brings the water right up to almost where the restaurant has their beach loungers, so just be aware of that when choosing your spot or you may get wet.
