点评:Zócalo is the vibrant heart of the historic center, always buzzing with people, shops, restaurants, and street vendors. During our first visit, the square featured a creative art installation of nopales decorated with colorful messages and artwork. When we returned the next day, the entire setup had changed—an enormous screen and bleachers had been installed, completely transforming the space. It’s amazing how quickly the atmosphere evolves here.
The square is also home to the National Palace and the stunning Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico City, making it a must-see for both history and architecture lovers.
We tried churros and esquites from local vendors, but unfortunately, both were disappointing. Even so, it’s a wonderful plaza with so much to see and experience—you never know what you’ll find from one day to the next.
