Interesting concept; going downhill
Cycle 360 - Bicycle Hire的点评
点评：First, this place has a double listing, as a restaurant and an attraction. It’s a cafe, bike shop and gym. People post reviews indiscriminately so the two listings need to be merged.
Second, it’s 2 years since my last visit, and first review.
Third, it’s got busy. They’ve extended the cafe space, squeezed in more tables and got rid of the sofas in front of the fire. Plus there are many more people working in the business park.
There’s a huge outdoor patio area, obviously closed on a wet November day. That’s new. Probably doubles capacity.
And there’s the problem. It’s too busy for the way it’s set up to work efficiently. The counter is too small, you queue to order. It’s slow. Then you pay, find a seat and wait to be served, at your table, even with a pot of tea. May as well make it table order.
Tea, breakfast for me, peppermint for him, was ok, but not cheap. This was mid afternoon. 15 minutes from entering to get a pot of tea isn’t good.
Staff are casual. No problem, directly, it’s that type of place. But wearing back to front baseball caps, in Isle of Man, in winter, inside, is taking cool to a whole different level. It’s annoying, pretentious.
Pluses. Pet friendly, kid friendly. Downsides. Hasn’t adapted well to its popularity and demand.
