点评：We embarked on a gorilla trekking adventure, a three-day safari through the breathtaking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Richard and our guide, whom we fondly called Giovani, took care of every detail, ensuring an unforgettable experience that will stay with us for a lifetime.
The evening before our trek, Giovani met us at the airport and personally escorted us to our hotel in Entebbe. Early the next morning, after a hearty breakfast, we set off on our long journey to Bwindi. Along the way, we made a few short stops and enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch in the town of Mbarara.
We arrived at our lodge, Nshonga Camp, around 6:30 p.m., greeted by warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and our accommodation was cozy and comfortable.
The next morning, we embarked on the gorilla trek – an awe-inspiring and almost magical experience. Watching the gorillas in their natural habitat, so close and yet so majestic, was truly humbling. Every moment felt surreal, and the memory of those gentle giants will remain etched in our hearts forever.
Later that afternoon, we visited the Batwa community. Meeting them was deeply moving, offering a glimpse into their lives and traditions that left a lasting impression on us.
The following day, we began our journey back to Kampala, with the obligatory stop at the Equator, and arrived around 7 p.m.
This journey was not just a safari; it was a profound encounter with nature, wildlife, and humanity – an experience that words can hardly capture.
