点评：We had the most incredible experience on a private dhow sunset cruise aboard the Boss Lady Dhow, departing from Kendwa Beach — and it truly exceeded all expectations.
We were a group of 9, and from the moment we stepped onboard, everything was beautifully prepared. The dhow itself was thoughtfully set up with comfortable, cushioned seating and plenty of space at the front to stretch out and enjoy the views. It felt both authentic and relaxed, yet very well organised.
We set sail at around 4:30pm and were welcomed by a friendly and attentive crew. Shortly after departure, we were served light snacks including cassava, sesame sticks, and nuts — a lovely touch while we settled into the experience.
As we cruised along the coastline, soft Swahili music played in the background, creating a calm and atmospheric setting. Watching the sunset from the dhow was truly special — peaceful, scenic, and one of those moments you don’t forget.
After sunset, we were invited to sit down for what can only be described as a seafood feast. The food was freshly prepared onboard and included lobster, prawns, calamari, fresh tuna, grilled chicken, vegetables, and rice. Everything was well cooked, flavourful, and generous in portion.
What made the experience even more memorable was what followed — as we sailed back under the night sky, the crew created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere with music, singing, and dancing. It felt very authentic and added a wonderful cultural element to the evening.
The crew were outstanding throughout — friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made us feel comfortable, safe, and part of the experience from start to finish.
Overall, this was a beautifully curated and memorable evening combining stunning scenery, great food, and genuine hospitality.
