Great tour of a remarkable country. Well organised, top accommodation. We enjoyed it more through the experience of a very knowledgable and personable guide Thila, Assistant Pavith who was cheerful and always helpful. Jayan our driver, professional and always calm, even in the chaos of crowds of TukTuks! These three demonstrated their love of their homeland and were eager to share with all on tour.
We experienced wonderful scenery, vast history, culture and the friendly welcome of Sri Lankans everywhere. Two exciting safaris with elephants, monkeys, deer, water buffalo and a very special and rare siting of a leopard. Visiting towns and cultural events as well as having rest days to ponder our experiences and explore our surroundings if we wished.
There is a lot to see and learn of this often overlooked country. Our tour group of 14 has returned home with a new appreciation of Sri Lanka and all it offers.
