点评:It was husbands birthday and as a surprise booked for us to see the Alpacas on this farm. Arrived at 11. Jenny who volunteers took us into a field and Deigo and Katie two young Alpacas came up to us and we fed them.
Then we were taken to another field where there were pregnant Alpacas. We fed these lovely ladies. One of them is called Dolly Parton. Come and see why.
Then to the next field and more Alpacas. Having seen us and our bucket of food they were all eager to come to us. You can have a few pushing you back against the fence as they try to get to the food you are holding but it’s gentle pushes. They are not aggressive or frightening.
All the while Jenny explains all about Alpacas. She is very knowledgeable and it’s interesting to listen to.
We were there nearly two hours. Cost £25 per person. Well worth it. We enjoyed it so much.
Will be going back in May again. Hopefully drier and warmer then.
As it was March the fields are muddy. We guessed this so came dressed in old clothes and trainers. And our shoes were thick with mud at the end. Brought a carrier bag and a change of shoes before getting back in the car.
Even if you do not know anything about Alpacas just go visit and you will go home loving them.
