点评：The Steam Train Travel with Cream Tea is run by Fox & Edwards Events.
We had been given this as a Christmas present and really looked forward to it. Organisation was good, and after a short delay we set off and the "Cream Tea" was served. I really don't know what the definition of "Cream Tea" means, but I am sure 2 scones, jam, cream, a slice of cake, and two half cups of coffee (or tea) scarcely holds a candle to some of the other reviews I read. The scones were dire, the cheapest of cheap, the cake was ok, once the thick layer of butter cream was removed, but the "lashing" of tea and coffee was an oxymoron.
The actual train journey was good, although there were a lots of stops and starts, which was reminiscence of travelling back in the dark ages. The staff were helpful and did their best.
It was disappointing, Fox & Edwards need to look at what they offer, most companies are cutting costs, but the cream tea really wasn't good. I couldn't recommend this trip at the cost, which is a shame as the old railway networks need help to keep them running. Fox & Edwards, get your act together.
