What an organized tour should be like.

点评：Returning to Huatulco for a second time, I knew I didn't want to miss going to the Cascadas magicas. We were two guys with parents, so quite a "mixed crowd" of ages. Our tour operator, Air Canada Vacations, sells tours but a lot of travellers online mentioned to shop around as the company they use, while not bad, goes with large groups and isn't the greatest. While looking at reviews online, forums with expats and locals, I stumbled upon Oscar's tour company and basically, there were no negative reviews. I phoned Oscar on Whatsapp and it was very easy to book, no nonsense approach.
Tour was 1000 Pesos p.p, and at least you know the money is going to him and not a tour operator. Oscar picked us up right on time directly at our hotel, in a comfortable, well-maintained, air conditioned van. We were only 7 and he keeps his groups smaller.
Now, I'm not a tour person normally. I like to explore on my own, at my own pace. I've taken many tours where you feel like you could've used an extra hour here, there. Not with Oscar. There was no rush, we had time to appreciate the Cascadas. Questions were welcomed.
We had lunch at a local farm, a most authentic Oaxacan meal, with delicious meats, sauces and hibiscus juice. For fellow Canadian, think sugar shack, but in the tropical forest. Again, it was served promptly, but we were never rushed to leave with a "ok, we gotta go at XX hour".
If you booked a tour through your airline rep and were disappointed, contact Oscar. I would go back on a tour with him any time. I have Oaxaca city on my "to visit" list.
The Huatulco region is a magnificent area of Mexico (I think the whole Oaxaca province is). It's worth enjoying what it has to offer. It's also one of the safest in Mexico. Enjoy!

我们在当地一家农场享用了午餐，品尝到了地道的瓦哈卡美食，肉类、酱汁和芙蓉花汁都非常美味。对于加拿大人来说，可以把它想象成热带雨林里的糖屋。午餐上菜速度很快，但导游从不催促我们离开，也不会说“好了，我们得在XX点走”。
如果你是通过航空公司代表预订的旅行团，但体验不佳，不妨联系奥斯卡。我随时都愿意再次参加他的旅行团。瓦哈卡市已经列入了我的“必游清单”。
