点评:when walking out of golden Lane at Prague castle you enter a small courtyard opposite the Lobkowicz Palace , here I saw as simple door and a sign for the national toy. I like toys so decided to give it a go. I was the only one there, perhaps others were put off by the sign mentioning needing to climb 45 steps to get there.
I had no regrets. it is a small museum consisting of only three rooms. Toys are arranged in cases according to themes , cars, dolls, planes etc. all the toys are Czech being made in the country. It gives an interesting perspective on traditional check toys as well as showing how materials ch need over time.
I enjoyed the focus on vintage Czech toys the materials and quality of toys in the past make modern plastic toys look lesser in comparison. It is a shame that there are not more interactive exhibits, but I think children and anyone who is a child at heart would love looking at them. I spent an hour there.
If there are 2 fee paying adults then get the family ticket which includes 2children for that price.
