The Hocking Valley Santa Express Train Ride

点评：I took my son, his fiance and 3 grandkids (3 mos, 5 yrs and 8 yrs) to the afternoon Santa Express train ride experience this past Saturday. The older train was decorated with Christmas lights and decorations inside and out. The volunteers were very helpful, polite and friendly. There was a snack vendor outside with hot chocolate and cookies and snacks. We brought our own snacks for my grandchildren. The conductor was nicely dressed in his conductor suit.
The train itself was older with red velvet bucket seats that faced each other to allow 4 people to sit together, so we had plenty of room.
There were teenage girls dressed as elves handing out candy canes and a gentleman playing "Santa Clause is coming to town" on a lighted saxophone while an authentic looking Santa and Mrs Clause came to each child and took pictures and talked to them. Our children gave them his list.
Then the Grinch came by and another round of Christmas carols with a guitar and Frosty the snowmen.
The scenery was not idea as the area is rundown in places. But we did see some horses and some kids who lived on the route came out on their porch to wave at us.
We brought Christmas books to read.
The volunteers were wonderful!!
This was a nice inexpensive experience and my grandkids had fun and we made memories.
