点评:The lakes themselves are lovely, however are whole experience has been ruined by are experience with the parking system they have employed. These parking companies are well known for ignoring genuine complaints and operate on a system of sending out penalty charge notices( PCN) and no doubt most people pay up due to the threat of larger penalty's.
We were charged £100 for allegedly overstaying the 2hrs we paid for by a few minutes.
The evidence is based upon pictures entering and leaving the car park with no grace period for reading the terms and conditions, or for trying to pay via an app with a very poor internet connection in the area. We also used the cafe on-site we very much enjoyed and this review is no reflection on them.
Because I have legal experience of dealing with these parking company's they did not follow the proper procedure for issuing the parking penalty I was able to get the charge withdrawn.
However what is even more disappointing is that I had written to South West Lakes Trust complaining and asking they have the unjustified charge withdrawn. I appreciate that they have to control parking in some way but they must at least listen to genuine complaints and help. They didn't even got the decency to reply to me, this reflects extremely badly on the people running the trust.
