点评:We booked afternoon tea for our 92 year old mum in law for her birthday and we were all very much looking forward to it. On arrival we were informed they had no record of the booking; it turned out that it was a glitch in the booking system that allowed us to book even though it was not available on that day.
I appreciate that mistakes are made but the way it was dealt with was absolutely atrocious. A young waitress was asked by the manager to show us to a table. I expected the manager to come over, apologise and reassure us they would look after us but she didn’t, she just left it to the young assistant who was brilliant but unsure how to deal with the issue. After 35 minutes we spoke to the the manager and asked for a refund. Her attitude was dreadful and quite aggressive so the occasion was ruined. The events organiser, the next day, said "well 35 minutes isn’t long to wait". Dreadful, dreadful customer service!
