点评：Booked our tour of the Boeing Factory through the Boeing Future of Flight and drove up 30 minutes from downtown Seattle. We arrived early and exchanged vouchers for tickets. And put all of our personal belongings (including phones, cameras, water bottles) into free lockers. Then we checked in with tour guide Joe, who is quite the historian; we chatted about William Boeing (born in our home town of Detroit) a couple times before and after the tour. Our tour experience began with an introduction by tour guide Kavya and three short videos before the group was split in two. We boarded our bus with Kavya pointing out sites as we rode a short distance to the tour site before entering Bay 5 (or 6?) to see how assembly of the new Dreamliner jets happen. Quite interesting to see that some 8 or more planes are in various stages of assembly; each one is labeled by customer name. We spent some 30 minutes inside the Bay looking and watching. Then the bus took us back to the Future of Flight building where we saw more displays and went up to the Sky Deck and were able to take photos. All in all, despite its brevity, it was interesting. And gives you pause as to how much goes into building a new jet airliner!
