点评:We did the Founder’s Experience at Bacardi and, unfortunately, it did not feel worth the premium price. The tour is marketed as an elevated, behind-the-scenes experience, but access was very limited. We were taken only a short distance into the cask warehouse and did not see any of the actual production facilities, which was disappointing given the positioning and cost.
Our guide, Will, did a solid job with what he had. He was personable and clearly tried to make the most of the material and the time. The issue wasn’t the guide — it was the scope of the experience itself.
At this price point, I expected more operational insight, more access, or something that truly differentiated it from the standard tour. In hindsight, I think we would have gotten more value from a mixology class or another experience.
I still appreciate the history and the brand, but this experience did diminish my perception of the value offered at the premium level. I’d encourage Bacardi to better align the marketing with what guests actually receive.
As a side note, I regret buying ferry passes for $15 each that were useless since I needed to buy a $3 ferry ticket on top of that anyway. Why offer? Is Bacardi hurting financially?
Reviews are just reviews, so my changed perception of Bacardi as a brand will guide my decisions in the future. They won’t see me back at their facility and nobody will ever see Bacardi in my glass.
