We visited three wineries during our trip to Colonial Beach, and my favorite wine sample overall was the Traminette from this winery. I did the five-wine tasting for $11. Holly was very friendly—definitely a big talker.
Cons: The winery is unimpressive from the outside, and unfortunately that didn’t change once inside. While the employee we interacted with was pleasant, she couldn’t answer basic questions about the wines’ flavor profiles, which felt like a missed expectation. The “beer list” was simply a board that read “IPA, Ale, Lager,” and they were already out of the IPA. I usually enjoy Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, but both were mediocre here. If you’re searching for a refined or classy winery experience, this isn’t it—keep driving.
