We chose Costa Rica Focus for a second trip, here is why

点评：We had such a great experience in 2023 with Costa Rica Focus that we did a second trip in 2026, specifically requesting and going with the same guide. (How is that for an endorsement?) For both trips we were seeking a custom itinerary of beach time and birding, and we were willing to upgrade to having a private tour. Costa Rica Focus can provide that, so we chose them. They accommodated our requests, provided great pre-trip support, an excellent itinerary and quality lodgings. Our guide, Andrés Z., is extremely capable - beyond belief knowledgable, reliable, friendly, etc. So we had a perfect trip in 2023 and had a successful encore 3 years later, this time at different locations with different bird species sighted. I could do a slideshow of photos - I just picked a few of no particular significance.
Specifics from 2026, as written by my partner (who is the birding enthusiast): "We had a memorable experience. The trip planners with extremely helpful. Our guide was incredible. We saw an amazing variety of birds, as well as other wildlife, in a variety of environments. Our accommodations were varied, but all were clean, comfortable, and restful. Arenal Observatory lodge was delightful. Celeste Mountain Ladge and La Quinta lodge were artfully decorated and unique. The food was overall excellent."
