点评：Having had a bad experience kayaking in my younger years I was keen to book an experienced guide this time and a course that suited us as total beginners. I booked the secrets of the Soča tour and was told that we would be learning techniques and safety tips etc. I was told in my messages from Matic that “it was not an instant kayak trip only going downstream” which is exactly what it turned out to be. We were literally put in a wetsuit, got in a kayak and off we went! I was also surprised that it wasn’t Matic taking the trip as the website seems to suggest. Our guide was great bless him but at times seemed to be out of his depth dealing with us beginners and I didn’t feel safe especially when it started thunder and lightening and he told me this was safe. Google says otherwise! Hence after 2/3 of the way down we called it quits. I was also not impressed that on paying, the price suddenly went up €27 so we had to scramble to find the extra cash for that. The river itself was incredibly beautiful and perhaps if you’re more experienced it would be ok but for me this wasn’t the beginners experience advertised.
