Hateful DNR - BEWARE!

点评：Our family has enjoyed an annual camping trip at LSP for more than 30 years, and it has always been something we looked forward to. Unfortunately, the experiences we've had over the past two years have been very disappointing due to the way we were treated by DNR staff.
During our 2026 trip, a staff member named Aaron was unnecessarily confrontational with my niece, who had just arrived during a torrential rainstorm with three small babies. While waiting for the rain to ease so she could safely move the children, her vehicle was temporarily parked as a second car on the campsite. Instead of showing understanding given the circumstances, Aaron immediately reprimanded her.
Later that evening, Aaron returned to our group—despite us having at least 11 campsites reserved—to complain that we were being too loud during karaoke. We had already complied with the rule prohibiting amplified singing through microphones, but because the music and microphone shared the same speaker system, it wasn't possible to amplify one without the other. We did our best to follow the rules while still enjoying time together as a family.
After 11:00 p.m., Aaron returned yet again, which felt less like routine enforcement and more like continued harassment. At that point, members of our group asked him to leave.
After more than three decades of making family memories at LSP, it's disheartening to feel unwelcome. We fully respect park rules and understand the need for staff to enforce them, but we also expect visitors to be treated with professionalism, courtesy, and reasonable discretion—especially during challenging circumstances like severe weather. We sincerely hope park management addresses these issues so that other families can enjoy the welcoming experience we once associated with this park.
