Caral Should not be Missed!

点评：I cannot recommend the experience highly enough Rogelio and Augusto went out of their way to introduce us to Caral and to welcome us to Peru.
We stayed one night and wished we had spent two for a more leisurely exploration. Rogelio is such a warm, decent person and he coordinated everything, picking us up at the airport and dropping us back at our hotel in Lima.
If you have any interest in ancient sites Caral, Penico and Vichama should be on your list, we are only sorry we missed Aspero. We’ve visited ancient sites Egypt, Sudan, the Indus Valley in Pakistan as well as the Mesopotamian cities in Iraq and Caral and the Supe valley should be far better known. It’s astonishing to think of how recently these sites were excavated and how emerging the archeological understanding is.
The sites were more interesting and expansive than we expected. Highly recommended. Just astonishing and moving to visit, how can I’d be that sites more than 4,500 years older than Machu Puccu are so unknown and under visited?
