点评：We had a wonderful stay at Limeland in the Nariva Swamp, hosted by Kayman Sagar. He personally met us at the airport and was our guide for the next four days. Limeland is situated on an old cocoa plantation. The location is peaceful and perfect for wildlife lovers—we had fantastic sightings of blue macaws, toucans, many other birds from the veranda.
Our visit included an excellent Kayaking trip with Kayman Sagar. The trip began with a peaceful paddle through the mangroves upriver to Bush Bush Island, followed by a guided walk around the island. Having timed the tide perfectly we were able to drift back downstream after our walk. Along the way, we encountered an incredible variety of wildlife, including howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, butterflies, lizards, bats, and many bird species. We were fortunate to see egrets, ospreys, kingfishers, red-bellied macaws, and many other birds in their natural habitat. Before starting our trip, we were also treated to the unforgettable sight of a flock of scarlet ibis flying overhead. Kayman was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about the environment—which made the experience even more enjoyable and informative. Kayman is probably the best guide we have ever had!
