Go early in the morning or be stuck waiting for the ferry

点评：Great hike to see some majestic scenery, which I'm glad they have invested in upgrading much of the path, but need to finish the job to the actual lighthouse. Once there, the view is incredible, though be prepared for fairly steep hills and forceful winds.
The hassle is the journey to get there. Firstly you need to get a ferry to get on and off Kalsoy but it doesn't run between 11:00-15:00. So unless you go very early in the morning, one is stuck on the island. And the island doesn't have too much to see or do. Secondly, there are 3 one lane tunnels from one end of Kalsoy where the ferry drops you off vs the parking lot for the lighthouse at the other end of the island. Turning into a layby in the middle of the tunnel because of an oncoming car is a bit nerve wracking. Hate to be here during peak season.
Suggested tip is to eat at the Thai restaurant in the building at the start of the trail. Food felt authentic, though small portion, though didn't get the impression of too many good options on the island.
