Great Museum but Communication Could Be Better
Route 66 Interpretive Center的点评
点评：The museum is wonderful. There are several informative videos and the setting is unique. Some have chairs and others have beds where you lay down and watch the video above you.
It's in an old armory building which is interesting, and a staff member will give you a tour and explain the history.
We got there fairly late in the afternoon. We chatted with the staff members while getting our passport stamped. At no time did either one of them mention that they would be closing early due to an event being held there that evening.
We did the tour and went to the galleries and started watching the various viseos. We were in the back at the last one and all of a sudden the lights went out. We jumped up and went to the front of the gallery. The lady who had given us a tour was locking up! She hadn't even done a sweep of the gallery to make sure that no one was there. THAT'S when we find out that they are closing early and that the gift shop was already closed.
They lost out on gift shop sales and also left us with a sour taste about the experience. We had rushed to get there and skipped other things to do so, which made this doubly disappointing.
